Green Rainbow is a dream, an eco-friendly dream. We are here to help you live the dream. Most of us try to be eco-conscious in our daily lives. We want to help be part of this ever changing world . Here at Green Rainbow, we research products that offer the idea of “being green”, as well as teaching that ideal.

Anything from organic clothing, to natural soaps, toys, recycled jewelry, recycled glass plates, recycled paper and so much more can give us a daily lesson and give back to earth. We learn in the process and we want to share our experiences with you. We look forward to hearing back from you for your ideas and comments.

Mission

Through research we realized that, if not all, most of these items could be “Made in the USA”.

We love finding an artist from around the corner that is able to see something beautiful through a broken glass bottle and create a one of kind ornament or jewelry item. We strive to find the designers in our “backyard”, who can create “organic” lines.

Over 75% of the items we carry are made in the USA. Everything else comes from manufacturers/ supplies that we carefully “handpick” from around the globe

We are in between 6-8 suppliers/ manufacturers from overseas. The question that rises is of course how we select to carry the products from these manufacturers. Each one of the companies we work with, are well-established businesses that have as a mission to provide sustainable products, organic and eco-friendly and be part of a greener world. Our goal is to ensure that these companies have the same values with us. The easiest way to verify that is directly from their websites and the information they provide to the public about their manufacturing practices, sourcing of materials, and related policies about their workers. Right after the original online research we continue our search and fill in our questionnaire with direct questions to the company / representative of the company. What need to learn from them? Their policies and practices connected with labor and their employees. A clean and safe environment for the employees is supported by identifying a few simple items: Source of materials used for the manufacturing process, whether the materials are natural and/ or organic. Whether the material are used/ recyclable, if they contain toxins (dyes used). Animal testing? Is there a policy that forbids child labor? Does an employee have the opportunity to express his opinion and suggest on the working/ manufacturing process? Is the environment sweatshop free and are the workers paid under a fair living wage?

And those are just to name a few of the questions that might rise through our research or conversation with the supplier/ manufacturer. We are in constant communication with our selected suppliers/ manufacturers we work with, to be able to control and be aware of any change in their philosophy.

We have learned that every company / supplier / manufacturer that respects its name, respect their clients, respect the environment, their employees and in continuation the future of this planet.
